Life Cycles Crystal Spheres

Life Cycles Crystal Spheres

The 20 perfect crystal balls originate from Jason Bruges Studio’s renowned art installation Life Cycles — a kinetic light artwork exploring rhythm, reflection, and transformation.

Formed from precision-cut optical crystal spheres, these components once animated a large-scale, motion-responsive installation. Today they can be repurposed as interior accents, set-decoration props, or collectible art materials, offering both provenance and poetic materiality.

Each sphere refracts light beautifully, creating subtle patterns and colour shifts — ideal for stylists, set decorators, retail designers, and artists seeking elements with narrative depth.

About the artwork Life Cycles

Jason Bruges Studio were commissioned by LG Electronics to design and build a third series of sculptural artworks complimenting the new LG SIGNATURE range. This took place from the 31st August – 5th September at IFA 2018 in Berlin.

Life Cycles is an exploration into the natural phenomena of elemental changes. The set of four installations guides the visitor through morning dew as the sun begins to rise and ice begins to thaw. The afternoon dappling sunlight appears through a canopy of kinetic foliage and the silhouette of the evening moon is silently reflected above rippling water.
