The 3d printed panels made from a sugar based bioplastic (PLA), designed by Mamou-mani Architects and produced locally in the UK by FabPub, are part of an modular office screen system. Having variable heights, the screen provides a visual barrier at seated and standing eye levels. The waves in the screen have an internal movement to allow or block sight lines based on the position of the viewer. The translucent layer lines of the PLA makes the screen act like a fresnel lens, diffusing and refracting light from installed front or up-lighting.
